A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday morning, November 15, in the Belarusian capital.
On Yakub Kolas Street, a MAZ truck crashed into a tram.
The incident, which took place at approximately 09:10, was reported on its official Telegram channel by the press service of the Minsk State Traffic Inspectorate.
According to information released by the department, at the specified time a MAZ truck driven by a 63-year-old driver was driving along Ya. Kolasa.
Near house No. 5, the truck began to change lanes. But the driver was not sure that the maneuver he was performing was safe.
As a result, there was a collision with a tram moving in the same direction.
Fortunately, no one was injured in this accident.
The traffic police officers of the Sovietsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk were working at the scene of the road accident.
In connection with the incident, the State Traffic Inspectorate reminds: when changing lanes, the driver must ensure that this maneuver is safe.
In doing so, he must give way to vehicles moving in the same direction.
