In the center of Minsk – on Independence Avenue (in the area of BSPU, BSU, post office) – on the second day of winter a serious accident occurred.
A taxi rammed three cars, causing a massive accident. One person was taken to hospital.
The Moscow traffic police press service reported the incident, which took place at approximately 16:40, on its official Telegram channel.
According to the department, at the specified time, a Volkswagen car from the Yandex Taxi service was driving in the named location on Independence Avenue.
Near house No. 6, he collided with a Kia moving in the same direction and two Volvos traveling in the opposite direction.
It is assumed that the taxi driver lost consciousness while driving, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate noted.
They added that as a result of the accident, a 37-year-old passenger in the taxi was injured and taken to hospital.
Employees of the traffic police department of the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk worked at the scene of the incident.
