The man without a license started a chase, believing that he could escape from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
His faith was seriously undermined in Minsk, where the fugitive was caught and “rewarded” for all his “exploits” with 6 protocols.
The press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported on the incident on its official Telegram channel.
The story took place just before 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2.
At this time, on the P23 Minsk-Mikashevichi highway near the entrance to the city, traffic police officers noticed a moving Skoda car.
The car was stopped and the driver was asked to show his license. Suddenly, the man started driving again.
Thus began the chase. The fugitive ignored clear demands to stop the car, red and blue flashing lights and sound signals, and tried to break away.
At some point, while turning, he reversed and collided with a service vehicle, after which he continued to try to escape.
As a result, the violator was stopped already in the capital – on Kizhevatova Street. The driver was detained.
During the investigation it was discovered that the car was driven by a 35-year-old resident of the Minsk region.
At the same time, he did not have a driver’s license – he had previously been deprived of one for an accident he had caused.
The driver’s actions constitute six types of administrative offences, including driving a vehicle without a driving licence, the Department of Internal Affairs noted.
The Skoda was confiscated and taken to a guarded impound lot.
