Yesterday, the Belavia airline plane, which was flying from Minsk to Kaliningrad, returned to Minsk National Airport.
The airline commented on the incident.
Why did the Belavia plane that flew to Kaliningrad return to Minsk?
As reported by BELTA with reference to Belavia, the cause was the cracking of the cover layer of one of the glasses in the pilot's cabin.
In accordance with the instructions, the aircraft commander made a decision to make a forced return to the capital's airport. The aircraft landed in Minsk at 13:18.
There was no threat to the health and safety of passengers, the airline reported.
Another plane was provided to carry out the flight; it took off at 16:25 and landed in Kaliningrad at 17:50 (local time).
Passengers on delayed flights in Kaliningrad and Minsk were provided with drinks and food in accordance with current regulations, Belavia reported.
The airline noted that cracking of the glass cover layer in the cockpit without damage to the power elements does not affect the safety of the flight and passengers.
Belavia apologizes to passengers of delayed flights for the inconvenience.
