Another flight will soon be launched from Minsk to China. It is direct. From the Belarusian capital – to the ancient city of Xi'an (it has existed for over 3,100 years).
It will be operated by the Chinese company Air China from December 28 of this year.
The Belta agency reported this with reference to the Republican Union of Tourism Industry.
Departure time from the capital's airport is 20 hours 40 minutes. Flight time will be 8 hours 20 minutes.
The flight will operate once a week – on Saturdays.
The Russian Institute of Cultural Heritage noted that Xi'an is famous not only for being an ancient city, but also for the fact that the royal dynasties of Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang once lived here.
It was in this settlement that the eastern end of the Great Silk Road was located.
Ancient tombs have been found at archaeological sites in the city's outskirts, including the famous Qin Shi Huangdi Mausoleum with the Terracotta Army, the organization said.
And they added: tickets for the new flight can already be purchased through travel agents.
Let us recall that earlier the Belarusian airline Belavia announced the launch of a direct flight to China – Minsk - Urumqi – Minsk – from December 16.
