An overly touchy resident of Minsk cherished a harsh plan of revenge against a man for whom there was no forgiveness in his heart.
The character in the story on the Internet decided to order a “mining” of one of the capital’s shopping centers on behalf of the offender.
The Minsk police press service reported what happened next on its official Telegram channel.
According to the department, cybercrime operatives from the Central District Department of Internal Affairs identified two unemployed city residents.
They were the ones who carried out the fake bombing of the shopping center.
It later turned out that the author of the “project” – a 19-year-old offended guy – asked an 18-year-old college friend to help him bring his idea to life.
He found the perpetrator abroad on the Internet. The latter, for a small fee, called the Belarusian authorities, introduced himself under a false name, and told them about the alleged bomb.
As proof of the work performed, this subject presented the guys from Minsk with a recording of a conversation between employees of the departments.
Despite the false name and the call from abroad, the police managed to find the people who ordered the swatting and they were detained, the press service noted.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of a deliberately false message about danger committed by a group of people.
The police reminded that such actions can be punished with imprisonment for up to seven years.
