Research on the age difference between two partners has been conducted more than once, and in each case, scientists agreed that such a relationship is short-lived.

They even managed to calculate the ideal age difference between spouses. However, no one explained the reason for the doom of such a relationship in plain language.

Psychologist Alexandra Miller told NEWS.ru in an interview why couples with a large age difference break up.

To put it mildly, relationships with a significant age difference often have difficulties.

But to be honest, it is age that becomes fertile ground for the emergence of conflicts of interest.

This happens mainly because young people are just starting to build their careers and establish themselves in life.

Meanwhile, their mature partners are retiring or preparing to retire and enjoying life.

In addition to age, there are differences in habits and interests, and an older partner may not always be able to physically meet the needs of his younger partner.

Health problems arise, and certain care is required. In other words, age becomes a burden for the younger generation.

It is believed that such couples live happily for 5-7 years, and the rest depends on the couple itself.

For reference
