A cunning citizen of Moldova attempted to import homemade wine to Belarus.
Not an ordinary wine, but one with a "surprise". As Grodno customs officers found out, the dangerous psychotropic substance pseudoephedrine was dissolved in it.
The press service of the State Customs Committee of the Republic reported about the atypical bottle of alcoholic beverage in its official Telegram channel.
According to the agency, three Moldovan citizens and one Russian citizen were traveling from Lithuania to Belarus in a Mercedes.
To cross the border, we chose the Kamenny Log checkpoint.
They were moving a total of 23 plastic bottles of homemade Moldovan wine, they said.
However, Grodno customs officers suspected something was wrong. A decision was made to conduct an examination.
According to the expert’s conclusion, the liquid in one of the bottles contains pseudoephedrine, a dangerous psychotropic substance permitted only for controlled circulation, the State Customs Committee noted.
And they added: after drying, the calculated mass of the sediment was about 150 grams.
The Grodno regional customs office opened a criminal case regarding the incident.
