Two tankers with 29 crew members were wrecked in the Black Sea due to a storm.
The incident resulted in a spill of oil products, Rosmorrechflot reports.
Today, as a result of a storm in the Black Sea, two tankers, Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239, sank, TASS quotes the agency as saying.
According to the information released, there are 15 and 14 crew members on the ships, respectively.
A rescue operation is currently underway; two tugboats and two helicopters have been sent to the tankers, and people are being evacuated.
At the same time, measures are being taken to eliminate the oil spill - employees of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Morresluzhba" and the Russian Emergencies Ministry are involved in the work.
The management is carried out by the operational headquarters created in Rostov-on-Don on the basis of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Administration of the Sea Ports of the Azov Sea,” noted Rosmorreflot.
It is also reported that due to weather conditions, the operation of the Kerch ferry crossing has been suspended.
