A fatal road accident occurred on Thursday, December 5, in the Krupki district of the Minsk region.
As a result of a collision between a car and a truck, a female driver died.
The press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to information released by the department, the incident took place at half past three in the afternoon at the 481st kilometer of the M1/E30 Brest-Minsk-Russian border highway.
There, in the Krupsky district, the driver of a 1998 Opel Astra lost control of the car at some point while driving.
Unable to control the car, the girl jumped into the oncoming lane, where she collided head-on with a truck.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the German car died at the scene.
There, in the location where the tragedy occurred, an investigative task force was working.
In connection with the accident that occurred, law enforcement officers once again reminded drivers of the need to be extremely careful when driving.
Especially in the current weather and road conditions (icy roads, fog, sleet, poor visibility, slippery roads).
