Details of what happened in Grodno

It all started according to the "standard scheme". Someone called the girl in a messenger and introduced himself as a "law enforcement officer".

The interlocutor told the Grodno resident that a loan had been issued in her name.

The fraudster also convinced the young citizen that her funds were allegedly “under threat.”

The attacker told the girl that she needed to transfer the money to a “safe account.”

In addition, the interlocutor told the young resident of Grodno that she was prohibited from disclosing “operational activities.”

The fraudster spoke of his intention to “come and search” and of the need to “declare” the money.

The girl began to follow the instructions of the attackers, went home and collected cash - approximately 1000 BYN.

The mother of the young Belarusian saw what her daughter was doing and tried to dissuade her from further actions. However, the girl ignored the requests of her loved one and headed to the ATM.

However, the vigilant mother of the Grodno resident did not give up: she called the police and told law enforcement officers about what had happened.

The law enforcement officers immediately went to the ATM and stopped the girl literally at the last moment: the young Belarusian almost pressed the button to send funds.

Thus, thanks to her mother and the police, the girl saved the money and did not become a victim of fraud.
