In Grodno, Belarusian law enforcement officers detained a foreigner who faces up to 20 years in prison for his actions.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on its official Telegram channel.
It is noted that Grodno region drug control officers detained a 33-year-old man, a citizen of one of the Central Asian countries, in the regional center.
It turned out that the day before, this man, in fulfillment of the order of the curator of the online drug market, flew from Russia to Minsk.
In the capital he picked up a large batch of psychotropic substances and arrived in Grodno with it.
In this city he planned to distribute an illegal and dangerous substance through sales through stashes.
For reasons beyond his control, he was unable to put his plans into action – he was caught red-handed.
Law enforcement officers found and confiscated about 700 grams of the particularly dangerous psychotropic substance 4-SMS in the foreigner’s rented apartment and hiding places.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of illegal drug trafficking for the purpose of sale.
For his actions, a foreign citizen may be punished with imprisonment for up to 20 years, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
