An unusual story happened in the Belarusian city of Pinsk. A local lady sold an expensive SUV for 600 rubles to spite her husband.
The man appealed to the Pinsk District Court and the city of Pinsk, which considered the claim against his ex-wife for the division of jointly acquired property.
It turned out that the citizens could not come to an agreement regarding the value of the disputed 2018 Mitsubishi car.
The car, as reported by the press service of the State Forensic Expertise Committee for the Brest Region, was purchased in a defective condition.
According to the defendant, she sold the car two years ago for 600 rubles.
The man said he did not agree with this decision, since the family car costs many times more.
To determine the value of the car taking into account the percentage of depreciation, an automotive commodity examination was appointed, the regional department of the State Forensic Expertise noted.
According to the expert's conclusion, the residual value of the car, without taking into account its actual condition, exceeds 72,000 rubles.
The State Forensic Expertise Committee added that cases where a car appraisal is required during divorce proceedings do occur in expert practice.
Sometimes situations similar to the one described above arise: one of the parties does not agree with the price offered for the car.
The conclusion of the automotive expert examination helps to objectively assess the value of the vehicle and resolve the contentious issue, the department summarized.
