Having doused part of the house with flammable liquid, the man expressed his intention to set it on fire, but after a short conversation he left.

In a conversation with law enforcement officers, the suspect explained his actions as jealousy.

The man broke up with the lady some time ago, who now lives with the owner of the house, the police department reported.

The Shchuchin District Department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the man under Article 186 of the Criminal Code (threat of murder, causing serious bodily harm or destruction of property). The villager faces up to 3 years in prison.

It is noted that the man had already been brought to criminal responsibility.
