A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Dzerzhinsky district of the Minsk region of Belarus late in the evening of September 23.
The man tried to move from the passenger seat to the driver's seat. However, he was hit by a car. Unfortunately, he died.
The press service of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to data released by the department, the tragedy occurred at approximately 9:55 p.m.
At the specified time, on the 339th kilometer of the Brest-Minsk-Russian border highway, a 20-year-old Volvo driver hit a 48-year-old resident of the Ivatsevichi district of the Brest region.
At that moment, the passenger got out of the car to move to the driver's seat. That's when the collision happened. The victim died from the injuries he received.
An investigative task force was working at the scene of the incident, the regional police department noted.
