On December 13, a fire broke out in the Belarus shopping center in Vitebsk, injuring 10 people.
Three victims are in serious condition, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported on Telegram.

According to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire started on the first floor. At the moment, the fire has been localized.
215 people were evacuated, 10 were rescued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As the head of the Vitebsk city department for emergency situations Vitaly Volzhenkov said, rescuers are currently conducting reconnaissance on all floors, looking for possible victims and sources of fire.
As we can see, there are several foci, noted Volzhenkov.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 10 people were injured. Three of them sought medical care on their own, seven were taken to medical facilities by ambulance crews (six to the regional hospital, one to the emergency hospital).
The victims were diagnosed with burns, carbon monoxide poisoning, and injuries (cuts).
Three are in serious condition, the department’s press service reported.
National level specialists have been sent to assist Vitebsk doctors.
As reported by BELTA with reference to the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, due to the fire, the festive events planned for today (the procession of Father Frosts, etc.) have been cancelled. Representatives of the local authorities have left for the scene of the incident.
