Unauthorized extension of the validity period of a driver's medical certificate resulted in a criminal case for a resident of Mogilev.

A Mogilev resident will have to pay a large fine.

This was reported by the press service of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations.

How a Mogilev resident "extended" his medical certificate for the traffic police

In August of this year, a resident of the regional center contacted the MREO of the State Automobile Inspectorate to replace his driver's license.

The traffic police officers doubted the authenticity of the medical certificate presented by the man.

The suspicions concerned the date of issue. The certificate was sent for examination to the Mogilev inter-district department of the State Forensic Expertise.

The examination confirmed the fact that technical changes had been made to the document: 2014 was changed to 2019.

As the Mogilev resident explained, he decided to correct the date of issue of the certificate due to the lack of time to pass the medical examination.

A criminal case was opened against the man for using a knowingly forged document.

The court sentenced the Mogilev resident to a fine of 50 BV (2,000 rubles). The sentence has not entered into legal force and can be appealed.
