In Smorgon, a man shot a teenager with an air pistol.
A criminal case has been opened against the Smorgon resident.
This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Grodno Region.
What happened
On the evening of September 16, a resident of Smorgon contacted the police and reported that an unknown person had shot his 15-year-old son with an air gun.
According to the case materials, a group of children were setting off firecrackers in the courtyard of a residential building when a pneumatic weapon was fired at them from a neighboring house.
The children ran away. At home, the injured teenager told his parents what had happened.
It turned out that the shooter was a 35-year-old man. That evening, he went to bed early because he had to go to another city in the morning to earn money.
In total, the Smorgon resident fired three shots. One hit the teenager in the chest.
According to the suspect, he only wanted to scare the children and hit the victim by accident.
It is noted that the man was sober. He had previously been repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility for property crimes.
The Smorgon District Department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the man under Part 3 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code (especially malicious hooliganism). The suspect is currently under house arrest.
