It recently became known that as a result of the terrorist attack that took place on October 1 in the Israeli city of Jaffa, a Belarusian was seriously injured.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus reported this on one of the social networks.
According to the department, a 27-year-old compatriot was injured.
The embassy is in contact with local authorities and the medical facility where the victim was hospitalized, the statement said.
It is noted that at present, doctors’ prognosis regarding the Belarusian’s condition is “positive.”
Recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In connection with the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry has once again recommended that its fellow countrymen refrain from traveling to countries in the region.
First of all, it is not recommended to visit Israel and Lebanon.
For those who are currently in these countries, diplomats strongly advise:
– strictly take into account the current situation;
– take necessary measures to ensure one’s own safety;
– monitor notifications from aviation authorities about the introduction of restrictions on the use of airspace or the suspension of airport operations.
The recommendations apply to “all countries affected by the conflict or located in the neighbourhood,” the Foreign Ministry emphasized.

Now, the report says, Belarusian foreign institutions continue to work to provide possible assistance to compatriots who find themselves in a difficult situation.
Thus, due to the sharp deterioration of the situation in Lebanon, the Belarusian embassy in Syria is updating the lists of citizens living there, considering additional assistance options.
