A 36-year-old resident of the Belarusian Gorodok came to the attention of law enforcement officers and was detained in Vitebsk with the forceful support of the riot police.
As it became known to the drug control officers of the Zheleznodorozhny District Department of Internal Affairs of Vitebsk, the man worked in one of the shadow drug markets.
In Vitebsk, law enforcement officers detained a 36-year-old drug dealer, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs Telegram channel reports.
As it became known during the investigation, a resident of Gorodok found an advertisement for employment on the Internet.
He received an assignment from his curator to rent an apartment in Vitebsk and pick up a wholesale batch of prohibited substances from a forest area.
He then packaged the large batch into small doses for subsequent sale in the regional center.
The man did not have time to start laying the drugs, as he was detained by drug control officers of the Zheleznodorozhny District Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Vitebsk.
During an inspection of the detainee’s belongings and at his place of residence, law enforcement officers discovered and seized more than 200 grams of a particularly dangerous psychotropic substance, packaging material, and scales.
It was established that the Belarusian worked at the drug market for about two weeks.
A criminal case has been opened for illegal drug trafficking for the purpose of sale.
The detainee faces up to 15 years in prison.
