Recently it became known about a serious road accident involving a passenger bus in Yakutia.
As reported by the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations press service on its official Telegram channel, the incident took place on the 540th kilometer of the federal Lena highway.
There, in the Aldan region, a Higer passenger bus overturned.
According to the department, the vehicle was traveling from the city of Neryungri to the city of Aldan.
In the specified area, at some point during the journey, the bus drove onto the side of the road, where it overturned.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were about two dozen people in the vehicle.
Firefighters from the Aldan Fire and Rescue Garrison, rescuers from the Rescue Service of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), doctors and traffic police officers from the Aldan District worked at the scene of the accident.
According to initial information, ten passengers were taken to the Aldan hospital by passing transport.
Later, the department supplemented the information by publishing updated data.
According to updated information, 11 people were injured as a result of the incident, and three citizens, unfortunately, died.
