Another fire occurred in the city of Vitebsk. This time it was a church that was burning.
The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus reported the incident on its official Telegram channel.
According to information released by the department, the fire occurred in the Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers discovered heavy smoke in the religious building.
The fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time, the department noted.
And they added: 9 units of fire equipment and 26 personnel were working at the scene of the incident.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident.
By the way. Recently, a fire broke out in one of the apartments in the city of Berezino because of... a garland.
As experts found out a little later, a short circuit in an electric garland caused the fire.
The owner of the house was at home when the fire broke out. She tried to put out the flames herself, but the rescuers who arrived at the scene extinguished them.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in this case either.
However, the fire caused damage to the property in the apartment. The walls and ceiling were also blackened with smoke.
