The victim handed over the stated amount – more than 35,000 rubles in equivalent – to the courier who arrived.

Mogilev detectives established the identity of the citizen – together with colleagues from the Minsk Department of Internal Affairs, they detained the messenger.

As it turned out, the courier was a 39-year-old resident of the capital, who got the job through an advertisement on the Internet.

It turned out that before traveling to Mogilev, the man managed to take money from four Minsk residents who had been deceived by scammers.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of fraud committed by an organized group. The defendant may be punished with imprisonment for up to 10 years.
