US sends $725 million in aid to Ukraine. Blinken says Kyiv will receive it

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has officially confirmed information about his country's transfer of another package of military aid to Ukraine.

The current package, according to him, is valued in monetary terms at $725 million.

The head of the US State Department also said what exactly Washington will provide to Kyiv.

We are talking about “weapons and equipment urgently needed by Ukrainian partners,” the TASS agency quotes the diplomat as saying.

He specified what exactly was included in this aid package. This is:

- anti-personnel mines;
– shells for HIMARS MLRS;
– Stinger portable anti-aircraft missile systems;
– artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm caliber;
– UAVs and countermeasures;
– anti-tank missile systems AT-4, TOW and Javelin;
- small arms and ammunition;
– various equipment and spare parts.

Earlier, in the last autumn month of this year, the Pentagon confirmed information that the US had approved the use of anti-personnel mines in Ukraine.

Prior to this, according to The Washington Post, Joe Biden gave the go-ahead to supply these mines to Kyiv.
