On the occasion of Poland's Independence Day, a nationalist march began in Warsaw.

The march is attended by opponents of abortion, the legalization of same-sex marriage, activists of religious Catholic organizations and other activists.

It has been decided to mark the 106th anniversary of the restoration of Poland's independence with a march, which this year will be held under the slogan "The strength of Great Poland is us," reports MIA " Russia Today ."

It is known that this year President Duda will not participate in the march, as he has left for Azerbaijan, and Prime Minister Tusk is on sick leave after surgery.

The organizers of the march are the nationalist associations "All-Polish Youth" and "National Radical Camp".

In connection with the column's passage into the center of Warsaw, police reserves have been pulled in.

Tens of thousands of participants are reported for the march.

Despite the bans, firecrackers can be heard exploding and flares are burning, and problems with traffic are reported.

Initially, city authorities refused to allow the march to take place under the pretext of violations discovered during the registration of the application.

The legality of the refusal had to be confirmed in court.

But later a new application was submitted and the city hall gave permission for the event.

According to the new application, about 100 thousand people will take part in the nationalist march.
