It recently became known that the Chancellery of the Government of Slovakia received an envelope containing a bullet.

The addressee of this letter was the country's Prime Minister Robert Fico.

The MIA Rossiya Segodnya agency reported this with reference to the Plus 7 dní portal.

The publication notes that while checking mail addressed to Fico, the employees' attention was drawn to one envelope.

An X-ray examination showed that there was a cartridge inside, the publication says.

The police are currently investigating the incident.

Let us recall that in the spring of this year, an assassination attempt was made on Robert Fico – the politician was shot several times.

It was established that the shooter was 71-year-old Juraj Cintula. The media cited political considerations as the motive for his actions.

In particular, the shooter was reported to be, among other things, categorically against stopping arms supplies to Ukraine.

Fico was discharged from hospital at the end of May to continue his recovery at home. He returned to work in July.

That same month, the criminal case was reclassified from attempted murder to a terrorist act.
