Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has named the reason why he believes the West may stop providing aid to Kyiv.
The politician links the likelihood of such an event with Volodymyr Zelensky’s promise to pay his compatriots 1,000 hryvnia (about $24) as part of a social support program.
Poroshenko is convinced that the people will not go for the proposed thousand with which the current head of state wants to buy voters' votes.
But what this could lead to, unfortunately, is that partners will stop giving money to help Ukraine, the MIA “Russia Today” quotes the former president.
Poroshenko also said that the current authorities in his country are not thinking about how to win the confrontation with Russia, but about how to win the elections.
The authorities are getting ready for elections, thinking about elections, not about victory, he complained.
It should be noted that the British newspaper The Economist recently wrote about the possibility of holding elections in Ukraine on May 25 next year.
The author of the article explained this by the fact that the country is experiencing a decline in morale, and people in Ukraine do not want to wait for victory in order to vote, as Yermak once stated.
