Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told Ukrainians that they had "backed the wrong horse."
He explained this incorrect choice of a neighboring state by “pressure from the Anglo-Saxons.”
In particular, it is for this reason, the politician is convinced, that in 2022 Kyiv refused to conclude a peace treaty with Russia.
The Ukrainians, in my opinion, backed the wrong horse, chose the wrong strategy around April 2022, when there was an opportunity to conclude a peace or ceasefire agreement with Russia. They did not do this under the influence of the Anglo-Saxons, MIA Rossiya Segodnya quotes Orban as saying.
The politician added that since then, the Ukrainian authorities have continued to receive “such wonderful advice from their friends in America.”
He also said that the initiative of US State Department Secretary Anthony Blinken to lower the age of mobilization in Ukraine is “shameless.”
The head of the Hungarian government has previously said on numerous occasions that the conflict cannot be ended on the battlefield, but must be resolved through peaceful diplomatic negotiations.
