Military helicopter crashes in Turkey, casualties reported

It was recently reported that a military helicopter crashed in Turkey. Unfortunately, there were casualties.

According to available information, the incident occurred in the province of Isparta in the southern part of the country.

According to the region's governor, Abdullah Erin, five servicemen were killed in the crash.

Earlier, as MIA Rossiya Segodnya points out , he reported four victims of the incident.

The governor noted that the helicopter was on a training flight and crashed in the Keçiborlu area near a gas station.

According to the mayor of the city of Isparta, Şükrü Basdeyirmen, the cause of the crash could have been a collision of two helicopters.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense officially confirmed the death of five soldiers, and another, according to the department, is in hospital with serious injuries.

The ministry reported that the crash involved an American Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter.
