One of the richest Spaniards, billionaire and founder of the Mango clothing chain, Isak Andic, died in the mountains of the autonomous community of Catalonia.
There, the 71-year-old businessman and his family were on an excursion.
The incident was reported by the MIA Rossiya Segodnya agency, citing the Spanish newspaper El Pais, which in turn cited sources in the police and the company.

According to updated information, the tragedy occurred on the afternoon of December 14 in the municipality of Collbato.
The billionaire was on an excursion with his family in the mountains. He fell into a gorge from a height of 150 meters.
Isak Andic was considered the richest inhabitant of Catalonia and one of the richest Spaniards.
His fortune is estimated at approximately 4.5 billion euros.
The Mango chain was founded by a Turkish native in 1984 in Catalonia. Today it has about 2,700 points of sale in many countries around the world.
The company closed the 2023 financial year with record sales of more than €3.1 billion.
The head of the Catalan government, Salvador Illa, expressed his condolences to Andic's family, noting that the entrepreneur left an indelible mark on the world of fashion.
