Israeli President Isaac Herzog has denied his country's involvement in the operation to blow up Hezbollah pagers in Lebanon.
He refuted the information on the British TV channel Sky News.
I immediately deny any involvement in any operation, the politician was quoted as saying by MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
Earlier, the media reported Israel's direct participation in the preparation of this operation.
According to ABC News, Tel Aviv had been preparing to commit such an act for at least 15 years.
Let us recall that on September 17 and 18, communication equipment, including pagers, radios and mobile phones, exploded in several regions of Lebanon.
According to local authorities, 37 people died as a result of the incidents, and over three thousand (according to other estimates, about 4 thousand) citizens were injured.
There is still no clear answer as to what exactly led to the simultaneous explosion of thousands of devices.
Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah leadership blamed Israel for the incident.
Official Tel Aviv did not confirm, but did not deny its involvement either.
