Germany will not help Ukraine at the expense of its own security.

This means that Berlin still refuses to hand over its long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv.

Germany also does not intend to send its soldiers to Ukraine.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently made such a statement, drawing attention to the fact that his country is now the largest in Europe in terms of the volume of aid to Kyiv.

The Chancellor, as TASS reports , said: he wants everything to remain this way.

But this does not mean that the Germans will do nothing to ensure that the security of their country is not put at stake.

That is why we are not supplying cruise missiles, long-range weapons that can strike deep into Russian territory, and we will certainly not send German soldiers to this war. Not with me as chancellor, Scholz said.

He added: the Ukrainian conflict worries Germans on the eve of early elections in Germany.

The politician's personal opinion is that if Russia wins, Europe's security will be at risk.

We want the loss of life to finally stop, the Chancellor said.

Earlier, some German politicians, including Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, spoke out about foreign military personnel in Ukraine.

According to them, peacekeepers could be sent there if hostilities cease.

In response to this, the Kremlin's official representative Dmitry Peskov noted that the appearance of foreign soldiers in Ukraine would lead to very negative, possibly irreversible consequences.
