It recently became known that police officers visited employees of the offices of the world-famous German manufacturer of sportswear and accessories Adidas.
There were visits in different cities of Germany. But not out of politeness – they dropped in on the company's offices with the purpose of conducting searches.
The event took place on Tuesday, December 10, as part of a tax investigation currently underway in Germany.
This was reported by MIA "Russia Today" with reference to the Bloomberg agency, which in turn refers to information received from an Adidas representative.
Details indicate that the searches were carried out as part of an investigation into the customs and tax clearance of goods imported into Germany since 2019.
On Tuesday, authorities raided the sportswear manufacturer's office in Herzogenaurach and other offices, Bloomberg reported.
The company representative noted that his company has been in constant contact with customs officials over the past few years as part of this investigation.
