Poland fears that Germany will reach an agreement with Russia on resuming the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
This was stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda, commenting on a recent call from German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The statement by the head of the Polish state is quoted by MIA "Russia Today" .
What Duda said about a possible agreement between Germany and Russia on Nord Stream
The Polish President doubted that Scholz had coordinated his decision to call Putin with his allies.
I think that this was an unauthorized action by Scholz, ” the Polish leader noted.
In his opinion, Berlin wants to return to energy contracts with Moscow.
What does this mean for us? It looks like an attempt to restore the functionality of Nord Stream,” the head of the Polish state said.
Scholz and Putin had a telephone conversation last Friday. The Kremlin reported that the Russian president stated in the conversation that Russia was ready for mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector.
