The authorities of the Czech capital have introduced a ban on night-time alcohol tours for tourists.

It is now illegal to hold pub crawls in the city.

The restriction is valid from 6 am to 10 pm.

Information about the unusual innovation was disseminated by the Czech national news agency, reports Gazeta.Ru .

Why Prague Banned Nighttime Alcohol Tours

This is due to the desire of city authorities to attract “more cultured tourists.”

Apparently, officials are not happy with the fact that many people visit Prague only for “alcoholic” purposes.

A large number of such guests does not bring any benefit to Prague.

The issue is a serious increase in the burden on the city budget.

This includes the “excessive involvement” of cleaning services and law enforcement officers.

Let us recall that Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, as well as the economic, political and cultural center of this Central European country.

The city's population exceeds 1.3 million people.

Many representatives of the economically active population of the Czech capital are involved in the tourism industry.
