Iran has notified the United States after launching a massive missile strike on Israel.
Qatar acted as a mediator in this process. Tehran's message spoke of an end to "unilateral restraint."
Al Jazeera reported this, as reported by TASS, citing an unnamed Iranian official.
He said that through Qatar his country sent a message to the United States regarding “the situation in the region after our recent blow to the Zionist entity” (Israel – Ed.).
In our indirect message to Washington, we confirmed the end of the phase of unilateral containment, which no longer meets the requirements of our national security, the person told the TV channel.
He added that any attack by Tel Aviv on Iran would be met with an "extraordinary response."
According to the official, such a response could include Tehran's strikes on infrastructure facilities on the territory of the Jewish state.
At the same time, Al Jazeera’s interlocutor drew attention to the fact that Iran does not want a regional war.
