Joe Biden has ordered $567 million in military aid to Taiwan.

This is stated in a statement by the President of the United States of America, released by the White House press service.

According to the text, the American leader granted the relevant authority to allocate funds to the Secretary of State.

The issue concerns the allocation of 567 million dollars “for defense products and services of the Ministry of Defense, as well as for military training and preparation to provide assistance to Taiwan,” MIA Rossiya Segodnya quotes an excerpt from the statement.

Let us recall that Beijing considers the island to be its territory.

All countries that wish to maintain or establish diplomatic relations with China are encouraged to adhere to the “one China” principle.

The situation around Taiwan escalated after Nancy Pelosi, then Speaker of the US House of Representatives, visited the island in 2022.

China condemned the visit of the high-ranking American woman, describing the event as Washington's support for Taiwanese separatism.
