The statement says that Western countries, together with Ukraine, will restore a “robust international security order” and help end the conflict.
What the allies responded to this is not reported. But it became known that during the discussion of the situation, the West promised to provide support to Kyiv.
Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, who was present at the meeting, said that US President Joe Biden would announce a new aid package worth $250 million.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius assured Zelensky of Berlin's plans to send another batch of Leopard 1A5 tanks to the combat zone.
Through joint efforts, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands will send 77 units of equipment to Ukraine.
