Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will have to consider the issue of lowering the upper limit of the mobilization age in the country.

The fact is that the corresponding petition in the country has collected over 25,000 votes.

According to Ukrainian law, if a petition is signed by 25,000 people, the document is subject to official review by the head of state.

The current petition is published on the website of the Ukrainian President's office.

As reported by the MIA Rossiya Segodnya agency, which has reviewed the document, the country's authorities call for reducing the mobilization age for men from 60 to 50 years.

The authors of the petition argue their initiative by the need to improve the economic situation of the state.

According to media reports, the document was registered on July 5, 2024. By this time, the petition had collected almost 26,000 votes.

Let us add that in April of this year, Zelensky signed a law lowering the age of mobilization in the country from 27 to 25 years.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, the upper limit is currently 60 years.
