Which containers are not suitable for growing seedlings: a mistake is unacceptable

The time is approaching when all summer residents will enthusiastically begin growing seedlings.

But before you start sowing seeds, it would be a good idea to find out what containers can be used for this purpose.

It turns out that not all containers are suitable for growing seedlings.

So, even if you are very inspired by life hacks from social networks, do not sow plant seeds for seedlings in cardboard rolls left over from toilet paper.

Tin cans, which are usually used to sell drinks, are also not a suitable option.

Cups that you make yourself from newspaper sheets are also not suitable for seedlings.

Have you ever thought of planting seedlings in egg trays? It's best to abandon this idea, as well as the idea of using plastic bags and plastic packaging left over from cakes for this purpose.

Some "experts" loudly recommend dropping the seeds into soil-filled tea bags, muffin trays, citrus peels, or eggshells. Remember: none of these are good options.

And, of course, don’t waste your time planting seeds in gloves – you’re unlikely to be pleased with the result of such know-how.

What to do? Use containers designed for this purpose for sowing seeds.

One of the most common options is plastic seedling cassettes.

You can also choose peat tablets or cups, or plastic disposable cups.

Finally, an environmentally friendly and durable option is wooden boxes. They will provide the seedlings with all the conditions for comfortable growth and development.
