According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, the leaders among voracious parasites are snails and slugs.
In addition to eating a lot, they also actively reproduce: during the summer, one individual is capable of laying up to 500 eggs.
Therefore, if you notice holes in the cabbage leaves and shiny “paths” of mucus nearby, do not sit idly by – get rid of the creatures that prevent the plants from developing normally.
Methods of dealing with slugs and snails
Since pests quickly become accustomed to chemical and biological preparations, alternate them with folk methods to achieve maximum effectiveness.
Set traps
You can use jars filled with beer, kvass or fermented compote as traps. Once the pests get into them, all you have to do is destroy them.
