Experienced summer residents and gardeners know that melons and watermelons are ideal neighbors for peppers.

But the list of plants with which this crop gets along well in a greenhouse is not limited to this.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, eggplants are also good neighbors for peppers.

And the latter also “gets along” with beans, peas and zucchini.

In addition, those who have gained experience in gardening and like to grow plants on their own and get good harvests plant dill with peppers.

Parsley, lettuce, basil and green onions are also “prescribed” next to pepper.

By the way, the latter is considered the most suitable neighbor for pepper.

It is known that over fifty varieties of basil can grow next to pepper, bringing benefits to it.

And the basil itself benefits from such a neighborhood – it pleases with a good harvest.

However, it is not recommended to plant representatives of the nightshade family with bell peppers in a greenhouse.

Let us recall that nightshade family includes such popular vegetables among gardeners as tomatoes, potatoes and eggplants.

These crops, firstly, take up a lot of space.

Secondly, they compete with each other for nutrients.

Thirdly, all the plants mentioned are susceptible to the same diseases and attacks by the same pests.
