There are not only industrial root formation stimulants.
There are – and quite a lot – very effective remedies that you can prepare yourself at home.
The basis of one of these fertilizers is aloe juice.
Benefits of aloe
It is successfully used by many experienced gardeners as a root formation stimulator.
Aloe vera (another name for aloe arborescens) contains many useful substances that promote rapid growth of the root system.
In addition, - notes the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, - aloe is valuable for its antibacterial properties.
It is due to the last factor that the rotting of cuttings is successfully prevented.
Leaves
To prepare a healthy infusion, you need to cut off several large, healthy, old leaves from the bottom of the aloe.
Wrap them in dark paper and place them in the refrigerator.
They need to be kept in a cool place without light for three to five days.
Low temperatures will help the leaves to form biologically active substances that enhance the beneficial properties of aloe.
After the specified time, grind the leaves to a pulp.
We will put one tablespoon of this mass into a glass jar, and then pour a glass of water into it.
In this form, we take it to a dark, cool place and let it stay there for a week.
Infusion
Then add boiled water. As a result, we should have an infusion of 5 liters.
This is where we will place the cuttings and keep them there for 6-10 hours.
By the way. Aloe juice can be used undiluted for seed germination.
In this case, we put the crushed leaves in gauze and squeeze the juice out of them, add the seeds and leave it like this for a day.
After this, we dry it and leave it until sowing.
