What plants should not be near thuja
Firstly, heather and hydrangea cannot be planted next to thuja. Thuja prefers dry soil, heather and hydrangea – moist soil.

Thirdly, there should be no ivy near the thujas. It will entwine and shade the thujas.
Fourthly, rhododendron. This plant needs acidic soil, while thuja prefers neutral or slightly alkaline soil.
