It may seem exotic to some, but more and more people are growing tangerine trees right at home.
In order for the plant to please you with sweet citrus fruits, you need to be patient and follow certain rules.
It's not just about planting the seed in the ground. You also need to properly prepare the seeds and provide them with the right conditions.

And, of course, the young seedling requires care.
It is important to remember: if you do not graft, you will not get edible fruits. The only thing the tree will be an interesting interior decoration.
Regular watering is necessary, otherwise drying out will destroy the plant.
To speed up the growth process, you can create a greenhouse effect.
How to grow
First of all, you need to select ten large, undamaged seeds from a ripe tangerine.
We wash the seeds and soak them in damp gauze (hydrogel is possible) for several days. This way they will swell and start growing.
As for the pot, it needs drainage holes. Drainage is placed on the bottom - expanded clay, small stones.
Fill the container with a light substrate, excluding peat. It is best to use sand and special soil for seed germination.
We will deepen the soaked seeds into the soil by 1.5-2 centimeters, then water them moderately.
When the sprouts appear
Let's cover the pot with film or glass - this will create a greenhouse effect.
Every day you need to ventilate the plantings - open the shelter for 15 minutes.
The pot should be in a warm place. If you do everything correctly, you will see the first shoots in 2-3 weeks.
When the sprouts appear, the cover can be completely removed, and the young plant can gradually adapt to the conditions of your home.
