Fans of organic farming begin to worry about the well-being of their green friends already at the sowing stage.

Therefore, at the germination stage, they try to exclude all toxic preparations that could somehow disrupt the ecological balance.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist, agronomist and landscape designer, told how to prepare seeds for sowing.

Various kinds of folk experiments with seed material do not always end as kind people advise.

Therefore, if the goal is to get friendly shoots, not spend a penny on it and exclude the use of chemicals, then there are only two options, but both are proven.

Hot processing

It's all quite simple. The method allows not only to wake up seeds from hibernation, but also to treat them in some way from pathogenic microorganisms.

To do this, you need to take a glass of water at a temperature of 45-55 degrees Celsius.

The seeds need to be placed in a gauze bag and placed in hot water for 20 minutes.

After this, you can immediately sow them in prepared pots.

Cold processing

This time it will take a little more time, but you won’t have to mess around with water or bags.

Simply leave the seeds in the freezer for a couple of days and then start sowing.

The method works due to the temperature difference.
