Eggshells are a very effective means of increasing crop yields.
However, you can’t just scatter the shells over the beds, as this will only litter the garden.
We'll tell you how to use this product correctly.
How to Properly Fertilize a Garden with Eggshells
Firstly, eggshells require careful pre-treatment.
First, the shell must be cleaned of films, washed and dried.
Drying should take about a day. If you ignore this recommendation, the shell may become moldy.
Next, the shell must be crushed using a coffee grinder.
Large pieces of shell can only be used to protect plants from slugs.
For application to the soil as a fertilizer, use shell powder.
You can also prepare an infusion for watering. You will need the shells of 15 eggs.
Pour a liter of boiling water over the shell, cover with a lid, and leave for a week in a warm, dark place.
The infusion should be stirred from time to time. Before use, dilute with water in a ratio of 1:3.
