Decembrist will explode with flowers! The secret that flower shop sellers are keeping quiet about

24.02.2025 00:30

Have you noticed that the Decembrist has released buds, but after a week they have fallen off?

It's all about the "hunger" that the plant experiences at the most crucial moment. Flowering in winter is stressful for the cactus, and without support it will not be able to reveal its full potential.

Tea + Science = Explosive Bloom

Brewed black tea is not just grandma's advice. It contains tannins that activate root growth, and microelements (potassium, magnesium) that strengthen the immune system.

But for the "wow" effect, add ⅓ teaspoon of potassium monophosphate to 1 liter of cooled tea. This tandem works like a doping: phosphorus accelerates the formation of buds, and potassium prolongs their life.

Water with the solution once every 10 days until the flowers open.

Boric acid - freeze frame for fall

Spraying with boron (0.5 g per 1 l of water) at the time of budding is a secret used by professional greenhouses.

Boric acid prevents the drying out of flower stalks and stimulates the appearance of new ones.

But it is important not to overdo it: exceeding the dose will cause leaf burns. Spray the solution only in the evening, when the plant is "sleeping", and avoid drafts.

A sweet finish to a long show.

When the first flowers have opened, give the Decembrist a cocktail of 1 tbsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. peroxide per 1 liter of water. Glucose is a source of energy for cells, and peroxide saturates the roots with oxygen, killing pathogens in the soil.

Water once every 2 weeks - this will extend flowering by 20-30 days.

Try this complex this season - and the Decembrist will turn into a fireball that will burn for many months.

The main thing is not to miss the moment: as soon as you see the first “seeds” of buds, start acting!
