A Garden Without Chemicals: A Unique Way to Turn Weeds into Fertilizer

Weeds that are usually burned or otherwise disposed of can become the basis for a powerful fertilizer.

To prepare it, the green mass of nettle, quinoa and couch grass is soaked in water for 10-14 days.

Fermentation releases nitrogen, potassium and phytohormones.

The resulting infusion is diluted 1:10 and watered at the roots of the plants. The composition stimulates growth, increases drought resistance and saturates the soil with humus.

Nettle is a champion in iron and manganese content. Adding it to the infusion increases the tomato yield by 25%.

Couch grass, despite its reputation as a pest, is rich in silicon, which strengthens the cell walls of plants.

Quinoa contains saponins, which repel aphids and spider mites.

To enhance the effect, add 1 kg of ash per 10 liters of water to the barrel - this enriches the mixture with phosphorus.

The prepared infusion is used for foliar treatment.

The strained liquid is sprayed onto the leaves, protecting them from powdery mildew and late blight.

The remains of the cake should be buried in a compost pit - they speed up the decomposition of organic matter.

Gardeners note that after three fertilizings per season, the soil becomes loose, just like after adding humus.

The method does not require any costs on the part of the summer resident who decides to use it, but at the same time it is more effective than store complexes.
