The main attention of summer residents is now focused on berry bushes and raspberries in particular.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist agronomist and landscape designer, told us how to feed raspberries.
To get a rich harvest of raspberries next year, gardeners should apply the following fertilizers.
First, magnesium and calcium
The advantage of mineral fertilizers is the accuracy of dosage and ease of use.
Therefore, in October, raspberries are fed with potassium magnesium sulfate at a rate of 3 tablespoons of fertilizer per 1 square meter of soil.
Secondly, phosphorus
Phosphorus is one of the most important fertilizers for fruit crops.
It is responsible for the development of the root system, so in October, raspberries need to be fed with superphosphate at a rate of 200 grams per the same area of soil.
Thirdly, dolomite
In autumn, approximately 500 grams of dolomite flour per 1 square meter of berry bush should be added to raspberries.
Finally, don’t forget to cover the raspberries with mulch, which is ideally made of compost or humus.
